I can’t quite believe that we’ve already hit the last bank holiday weekend of the year, but hey, here we are! The long weekend means there’s a whole bunch of activity planned for the week including and event line-up from one of Ramsgate’s newest additions, The Ravensgate, alongside others that are celebrating 20 years of the same event. Here’s to much more of that.

🍹 The Ravensgate’s Bank Holiday Weekender

If you’re yet to try the newly-opened Ravensgate, this weekend is the perfect opportunity as the venue celebrates the bank holiday with dance, hip hop, afrobeat, new wave and post punk tunes. Owner Janine will be celebrating her favourite aperitivo ‘Select’ with £10 Select and Pallini Spritzes, alongside £11 Venetian Negronis. 🪖 Anniversary of the Ramsgate Blitz Raid of 1940

If you hear a siren tomorrow, nothing to worry about. Ramsgate tunnels are commemorating the anniversary of the Ramsgate Blitz raid on 24th August 1940, matching the timings of three of the raids experienced and to remember the 31 people who lost their lives.

If you missed last month’s summer beachside screenings, make sure this week’s are in the diary. For the kids (and adult Disney lovers), Moana kicks off the night as she seeks to save her people. The evening screening brings My Octopus Teacher, which documents a year spent by filmmaker Craig Foster forging a relationship with a wild common octopus in a South African kelp forest.
