When I first approached George about bringing this newsletter to Ramsgate, I knew it would go down well in our community. Not knowing about events was a constant rhetoric that I was hearing, and I knew there was plenty of amazing stuff going on in our town.
At our launch party on Tuesday, it was apparent just how supportive this community is. We asked, and you turned up. It’s what makes this town special, and it’s at the heart of everything this newsletter stands for - from the businesses that have been here for decades, to those that are new in town. It’s to celebrate a variety of events and people, and connect them with audiences that keep them thriving.
Before I get stuck into this week’s events, a big thank you to every one of you that joined us at Ramsgate Space. From the incredible pies made by Kandiss of Prime Eats to inspiring conversations with Jess of Plastic Free Thanet (don’t forget to check out the Ramsgate Cup) and perfect tunes from Daniel Spencer, it was an evening to remember.
For anyone that’s new here - a very big hello - we’re so excited to bring you your new weekly fix of what’s happening in and around Ramsgate, delivered fresh to your inbox every Saturday at 8am. Please do forward this email to anyone you think might be interested and don’t forget to give us a heads up on any events you’re running.
Don’t miss out, until next week - EJP x
