Another week in Ramsgate has passed, another week of wonderful events. I’m coming at you quite tired after this weekend’s festivities, but once again with a filled cup. We’ve only just walked through the door after watching Ramsgate Carnival dance its way through town and I have to say, I was loving the variety of floats on offer. Screaming Alley’s Pat Riarchy gyrating towards me was, of course, a highlight. A few photos of the parade below if you missed it…

Summer beachside screenings are back at Dumpton Gap as Ramsgate Community Cinema and Bayside Café partner for a stellar cinematic double feature on the sand. Catch Finding Nemo (U) at 4pm or The Deepest Breath (12A) at 8pm! Enjoy tasty café bites until 7pm and don’t forget your blanket / deckchairs!

🏴 Emily Peasgood: This Is England

Take pride in visiting this community artwork by Emily Peasgood. The artist has repurposed reclaimed England and Union Jack flags in collaboration with hundreds of people from across Thanet. Participants stitched together donated flags while sharing conversations about identity, belonging, heritage and what England means to them.
