There’s so much going on this week that I don’t want to take up any airtime with an introduction. Take it all in, attend, buy tickets, share and shout about it. Use it or lose it really applies!

Wanna work on bringing women (and feminist folks of all genders!) together across Thanet? Love & Power work on impactful campaigns that help change neighbourhoods for the better, whether that’s changing how domestic violence against women gets reported. or getting kids free meals in the holidays. They’re launching a campaign around perimenopause and menopause and GP care and we want to hear your stories - did you have a great GP? A terrible experience? We want to hear it all - and if it’s bad, we want to help you change it....
🌟 Support Local Spotlight / Ramsgate Festival of Sound
Ramsgate Festival of Sound is upon us - a celebration of local musicians and artists - and one of my personal favourite events of the year.
Don’t Miss highlights include Friday’s Sing the Body Electric concert at St George’s Church which includes three individual music acts exploring what it is to be human. Book your tickets now to experience the a cappella harmonies of Hedge Baes, the unique combination of synth and the Japanese koto from Kodama , and the latest work by Nicholas de Carlo , performed by Modulus Quartet, complete with projections created by Julian Bigg (co-founder of Ramsgate Music Hall) on to the ceiling of St George’s!
On Sunday night, we’ll have the chance to see 2026’s Eurovision entrant (and Ramsgate resident LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER! who will of course be performing Eins, Zwei, Drei along other hits. With support from Big Woes, this one is going to be special for all involved so don’t miss out on a ticket.

🎨 Festival of Sound: Sonic Art Trail
