Festive market, Beaujolais Nouveau & National Tree Week
Christmas is coming!
November is in full swing (as is the chill) and Ramsgate is feeling part cosy, part festive, part “I wish I put on another layer.” This week brings a mix of winter warmers and early Christmas magic: hands-on creative workshops at Violet’s and Gather &, live gigs, movie time at the community cinema, and the first festive makers’ market taking over the tunnels.
Whether you’re easing in with yoga and art, raising a glass of Beaujolais Nouveau, or diving straight into talks or tree walks, there’s plenty to brighten the darker days. Here’s everything happening this week…

We all know (or at least we should) how integral the tunnels were to saving lives during WWI. This talk examines how Ramsgate’s people coped with the onslaught, while local and national authorities struggled to respond.

🍷 Beaujolais Nouveau Day

Beaujolais Nouveau is now a thing, and Seabird will have a 20-litre keg of “French Kiss” from Domaine St. Cyr - the largest organic producer in the region. In addition to glasses for £5, they’ll be serving a French-inspired menu with a glass of wine and a dish for £13.50
