An important note about Don't Miss Ramsgate
Join our Don't Miss Our Crew
Hello, lovely DMR readers…
I hope you’ve been enjoying the glorious weather today - what a beaut! I’m interrupting our normal schedule with exciting news. This month, we’re relaunching our paid subscriptions and inviting readers who can support us to become part of our new look, Don’t Miss Out Crew, as we’re now supporting over 1,200 readers in Ramsgate!
I get many folks asking about the subscription model and how they can support, so hopefully this new offering makes it a no-brainer.
You can also absolutely ask me anything about it at tomorrow’s Don’t Miss Ramsgate mixer, which is a chance to connect and find out more. Grab one of the last few tickets via the link.

If you read DMR most weeks, a paid subscription (£4 / month or £44 / year) is the simplest way to support our work and help keep it going.
Many people upgrade not for the extras, but because they want this to exist, which is amazing.
If Don’t Miss Ramsgate is part of your routine and it’s helpful, I’m delighted. Even sharing the newsletter or recommending us to new people really helps us grow.
Don’t worry, if it’s not something you can contribute to, Don’t Miss Ramsgate’s regular weekly newsletter is free and always will be.
But paid reader subscriptions are what make it sustainable.
Sharing what’s on each week is important, of course, but helping people feel connected and find meaningful things to do in town has come about organically and feels like a way DM can really help you flourish in your time here.
Discover the DMO Crew benefits below…
PAY MONTHLY
Monthly exclusive content - think Kent-based guides for day trips and staycations, helpful calendars (such as a Thanet Festival Calendar which is out this week to paying readers - you’ll get it sent if you upgrade), insider info on other towns worth visiting and topical deep dives into how wonderful - and weird - our wider home is. Don’t miss out on where you live.
Exclusive event offers - Get first dibs on tickets to our events (like our Mixer event on tomorrow night), and first look invites to exclusive events across Thanet as part of our DMO Crew.
PLUS, help your local community. Supporting us with a paid subscription helps our (mostly unpaid) hard work, helps us programme more events, and we give back a % of our revenue, creating micro-grants for more free events in Ramsgate (which will kick off this summer). Be part of this circular economy.
PAY ANNUAL
Everything above, plus a reusable Ramsgate Cup as a thank you.
BE A SUPERSTAR SUPPORTER
Everything above, plus a Don’t Miss tote bag and our eternal gratitude to you for supporting our work building a hyperlocal media network that makes a positive impact.
Thank you so much for your subscriptions, support, shares, and the list goes on. I know I often gush at the community here, but it really is something quite special. I’ll be back in your inbox this Sunday.
Don’t miss out, EJP x

Does the annual DMR payment sub include paid subs to DM Margate and DM Broadstairs as well? Or is it just for one of the towns? I tend to roam around to events in all three of 'em so get the free newsletter for each at the mo'.
Hi Georgina,
Thanks for your prompt reply, good to hear from you.
As iterated in my previous thread I'm a subscriber to the free content of Ramsgate, Margate and Broadstairs DMO at the mo'.
So to confirm: what you are offering is an upgrade to the paid-for content of Margate if I upgrade to the Ramsgate paid content or vice-versa.
That sounds like a fair option to me. Please let me know how I would proceed with this.
I will take out the annual sub.
FYI - and you probably know this - the Thanet-wide Strange Tourist portal is cheaper than DMO for their paid-option upgrade.
I can't come to the Bedford mixer tonight as I am in London (where I am mainly based though I have a 'pied a mere' in Ramsgate).
When I am in Thanet (usually weekends) I just jump on a loop bus or walk to wherever whatever stands out. So handy.
Very much looking forward to Ramsgate Literary fest.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Warm wishes,
Yvonne
