We may have to rename this newsletter Don’t Miss Calais as I’ve once again coming at you from the edge of France. Hey, it’s a perk of living in Ramsgate, right?
As well as my standard roaming around shopping in brocantes and hypermarchés, I also visited a very important project in Ramsgate Town Centre this week. If you’ve yet to meet Michelle and Kurt - the team behind Differences Not Disabilities - at the Friday market, I’d love for you to take a look at their very important work. The duo are currently working on an empty space in the High Street (believe me, it’s a project) and in doing so, they’re also fundraising for said space. I know we’re faced with a lot of Crowdfunders for projects, but the drive to succeed this team have is infectious. You can see more about the project and donate here, as well as getting in touch with anything useful you might be able to offer to help with the space. I hope to include events from them in their new home in 2027!
Don’t miss out, until next week - EJP x
